Hey mama, are you planning a kids spa party at home for a birthday party or just because? Here’s some kids spa party ideas that are easy to setup and the girl’s will love!
Kids Spa Party Drink Ideas
I have to say the drinks were probably my favorite part of this party! We had the girls do a pink lemonade toast before the spa party services began. We decorated the faux champagne glasses with pink polka dot straws, paper cucumber toppers and heart string tassels at the base. How cute!
Kids Spa Party Facials
For the girl’s facials, we kepet it simple as their skin can be extra sensitive. We offered a homemade sugar scrub for the products, which included coconut oil and regular sugar from the pantry. Remember, these facials are really just pretend!
Can you guess the most common question we get at our spa parties??…
“Can we eat the cucumbers?!”
Kids Spa Party Decorations
First thing’s first, this spa party is from 2015 and that was also my first year in business…so a lot has changed today as far as decorations! Please keep that in mind!
The client said her daughter’s favorite colors were “pink and neon green” so that’s the color palette for this event!
Back then we were more of an entertainment spa company and didn’t really provide substantial decorations. We just tried our best to style and coordinate what we brought for the spa activities if that makes sense.
Kids Spa Party Pedicures
The most important thing to remember when throwing a spa party at home is that everything should be one time use! Also, kids don’t need their nails clipped and cut for a party of this nature. A little soak and a polish change will do, and it’ll get you through the pedis in a timely manner if you’re the mama on the job!
Kids Spa Party Manicures
It’s always a good idea to set up a manicure station with all the products you need in one place! Also, it’s tempting to offer a large variety of color choices to the girls, but I wouldn’t recommend too many. It really just makes it harder for the little ones to choose. I like providing colors that match the overall party scheme and lots of glitter top coats!
Don’t forget the cotton!! Cotton balls, cotton swabs, and cotton pads!! These will help you with one time use application of products, during the mani-pedi sesh and facials!
Kids Spa Party Hair and Makeup Station
Now for the glam! I really think this is almost always the girl’s favorite part of a spa party. The facials are for the moms picture moment, and the glam is for the girls! Here we offered the girls light makeup including glitter eyeshadow and a little gloss. No lipstick, mascara or heavy cosmetic products is needed at this age.
Then birthday girl got some heat curls for a special birthday hairstyle. (Also, note this is the first and last time we used heat tools at a kids party. Don’t recommend, for all the obvious reasons!)
Kids Spa Party Crafts
Honestly, I can’t remember what craft we made! Ha Most likely some type of diy scented lotion or scrub of sorts. I just thought I’d still include the pic because of how cute the heart tags are!! š
Kids Spa Party Photoshoot
We concluded the spa party with a mini photoshoot! If you’re gonna get glammed up, then you gotta take pictures, am I right? We brought fun dress up props like boas, funky glasses, and printed photo props. It’s always a fun way to end the event and the moms appreciate a couple extra snapshots!
