How to make a beach theme party?

First, head to Dollar Tree and look for these beach ball themed cups! They are the inspiration for the beach themed setup. If you can’t find them at your local store, here’s an Amazon dupe!

Then pick up two sets of plates in varying shapes or sizes. Layering plates gives more interest to the table while still being practical.

One can be used for food and the next for cake! As a “plate topper” I found these mini sea animals in the toy aisle and placed them on each kids table setting.

Since July 4th was approaching I thought I’d incorporate some of these patriotic star party favor bags to add some contrast using patterns. You’ll see in the video above that I used the same bags to make a matching garland!

The organic balloon garland was the star of the show! Looking back at this party from 6 years ago, I can’t believe this was my first ever balloon garland! I pulled the colors from the beach ball cups and even the balloons came from Dollar Tree!

Now, as a seasoned balloon stylist I would not recommend you use Dollar Tree balloons outdoors during the summer, but if it’s indoors and away from the heat or sun they should last through the party.

To finish off the decor I picked up some nautical items from the frames section, some seashells to scatter as a runner, and grass skirts to wrap around the chairs. Then blew up a couple beach balls for decoration that the kids could play later!

Parties at home do not have to be expensive or overcomplicated. Keep it simple, keep it colorful, it’s all about having fun!
